Joe Biden: President Carter 2.0?

Back in 1980, America faced the embarrassment of inaction as our Hostages were held in the American Embassy in Tehran, Iran. Then President Jimmy Carter became little more than a hostage himself as he hid in the White House during a good part of the election season.

Now in 2020, Joe Biden has been reported to spend a good deal of his time hiding in his basement during the election season. Like Carter, I wonder if Biden can face the pressure of a world in crisis. By the way, Jimmy Carter is was and is a nice guy. He has accomplished a lot outside the White House. But, nice guys don’t always make the greatest leaders.

In the 1980 election, Ronald Reagan took office and Iran backed down. Today, President Trump fights to improve our country. He has proposed programs to help African-Americans, signed an Executive Order to protect pre-existing health conditions, address prescription drug costs, and extend enhanced unemployment benefits, brokered pace deals between two Arab countries and Israel, and worked hard to help expedite a virus for the COVID-19 pandemic. All, while the Democrats have fought him with every dirty tactic they could muster.

As you ponder your choice for our next president, will you choose a “weak” candidate, someone who may become another President Carter or a President who will fight for you, no matter the obstacles, including the Socialist, self-serving Democratic Party? Just my opinion.
