Coronavirus Vaccine, Voting, and Civil War

As we wait not so patiently for a Coronavirus vaccine, we see certain Democratic Governors suggest they won’t accept the endorsement of the U.S. Government. It appears they want to independently test the vaccine themselves. If Sleepy Joe Biden was in the White House, would they question the competency of the Federal Government?

Today, I went to the county elections office and cast my vote. I was going to wait until election day but it looks like my schedule would not allow me an opportunity to vote on November 3rd. It was easy to vote early. I simply showed my Voter ID and was given a ballot and envelope. After voting, I completed the required section and signed the envelope, sealed it and gave it to the elections official. Hats off to our civil servants!

The only Civil War we should be discussing was the one fought from 1861-65. We are one nation and need to find a way to return to the original intent of federalism. The federal government should only have certain responsibilities and allow the states to reflect regional and ideological differences (that don’t violate the US Constitution).

Just my opinion.

Some might call me a Conservative others a Moderate. My core beliefs: 1) Christian 2) Republican 3) Pro First and Second Amendments 4) Our country is not racist, neither are most people. Unfortunately, there is hate and distrust among individuals of all colors. New laws, violent protests, and arguing will not solve anything. We must change the heart. 5) Legalize marijuana. There are those who have no other alternative to relieve pain, especially among our disabled, ill, and disabled Veterans. 6) Jesus Christ will return sooner than we expect. (Just my belief)
