2020 has been the year of the Coronavirus. Even the Presidential Election has directly been affected by this out of control virus. It has taken our family members, friends, co-workers, sports heroes, actors, and so forth. It appears to have unseated a sitting president from a likely re-election. On a personal note, today, it took my mother. She was in her 80’s and not in the best of health, but who knows without COVID-19 if she would still be alive.

As a student of the Bible, like many of you, I believe the promise of Jesus Christ and realize that Heaven is 1,000,000 times better than our best days in our sinful world. Just the same, earth is home to us and we need to live our life, depending on faith to survive.

As the Holiday Season approaches, we will view Thanksgiving and Christmas differently. Despite disease, crime, and division, we still have a lot to be thankful for. Even if we spent the holidays alone or in smaller groups, we need to focus our thoughts on our entire life’s experiences. There have been many good times in the past and we hope many more in the future. Setbacks do not define us. Those of us who believe in God, look forward to better days but realize that He still gives us many gifts and blessings along our life’s journey.

May God Bless and comfort you all.

Some might call me a Conservative others a Moderate. My core beliefs: 1) Christian 2) Republican 3) Pro First and Second Amendments 4) Our country is not racist, neither are most people. Unfortunately, there is hate and distrust among individuals of all colors. New laws, violent protests, and arguing will not solve anything. We must change the heart. 5) Legalize marijuana. There are those who have no other alternative to relieve pain, especially among our disabled, ill, and disabled Veterans. 6) Jesus Christ will return sooner than we expect. (Just my belief)
